as if Skype hadnt been disruptive enough to telephone companies, the ebay company now announces SkypeFind, a new service that integrates business listings into Skype. 500 million downloads and up to 9 million user online at any one time, makes the Skype foray into Yellow Page territory very interesting. not sure when it gets traction, but it will get traction.
if yellow pages are the ultimate local resource ($19 billion a year in revenue says they are), then eBay's initiative in this local feature is incredibly interesting.
eBay is aggressively pursuing other local projects. of course, they also already own 25% of Craigs List.
